Background and Qualifications
Richard graduated from Cambridge University with a BA in law, and did his "articles" at Gray’s Inn firm Taylor & Humbert, where he continued after qualification in 1964 until moving to Archer & Archer in 1965, becoming a Partner the following year and then Senior Partner in 1987 until retiring to take up the consultancy in 2005.
Work Undertaken
Having concentrated on dealing with the firm’s clerkship of the Conservators of the River Cam and eight Internal Drainage Boards, Richard deals with all matters having a land drainage connection, and trust and probate work.
Other
Richard has sat on the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal since 1984 and is a past President of the Cambridge and District Law Society.
His other interests are split between golf and shooting, gardening and church warden-ship.
